antlers

i love love love antlers and skulls. i suppose it has come from my father who also used to love skulls, i have a heap of beautiful ones floating around the garden that i might rescue, i think their is a goat and a cow? he has an amazing tiger at his home that is hundreds of years old which i am totally in love with, but i think animal rights activists might not be to happy with, haha.

so here are some photographs of skulls and antlers that i adore! (and for the more squeamish/animal friendly there will be some fake ones too :) )

this room is incredibly kitsch but adorable at the same time! it's from the Fox Hotel in Copenhagen. Basically, for the launch of Volkswagen fox, the hotel got 21 street artists, graphic designers and illustrators from around the globe and they transformed the 61 rooms. The link to the hotel is here and the room below is also part of the Fox hotel :)

this scull pillow is adorable and i love the idea of using a big old tapestry as a bedcover. so warm for winter!

i absoloutely despise the feathers, but i like the idea of a skull above the bed

simple & elegant

Lady Gaga in the Bad Romance filmclip. love the neutral hues especially the rusted bed head with the black bedsheets.

for anyone wanting to re-create this look at home, their is a fantasic shop in westfeild bondi junction called Hart & Heim. they sell a huge range of wacky homewares. my family and i went in there the other day and were stuck for ages pining over all the amazing things. even if you dont dig the sculls/antlers/animalheads totally check out their range because it's fantastic and has something for everyone

antler coathooks, $84.95 for 3 pairs (as above) and $39.95 for just one pair

wooden moose head! i absoloutely love this idea! $199.95 for the large size, $39.95 for small and $29.95 for xsmall

for those more into deer, they also have this stunning wooden deer head for $59.95 or $39.95 in the smaller size.
